The Dark Vault is owned and maintained by Eiluned. It began its life as The Mainframe in the summer of 2000, and became The Dark Vault in July of 2002. It is primarily a recommendations site focusing on the various X-Men fandoms, but also featuring stories in Lord of the Rings, The X-Files, and Star Wars. Eiluned chooses her personal favorite stories and recieves permission from the author(s), and then archives them on the site.

The Dark Vault was coded using Note Tab Light. Graphics were created using Corel Photo-Paint 9. Fonts used are Trebuchet MS for the site text and 20th Century Font for the title banner text. The site is optimized for Internet Explorer 5.5 + (preferably version 6), a screen resolution of at least 1024 pixels by 768 pixels, and True Color. Frames are needed to see the site properly.
